Professional Background/Experience
Dr Kashyap is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Graduating in medicine from Monash University in 1989, he commenced specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1995 at the Royal Women’s Hospital, continuing his training at the National Maternity Hospital in Holles St, Dublin, and at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, Victoria. He commenced private practice after receiving his specialist qualifications in April 2001.
Professional Interests and Areas of Expertise
Dr Kashyap offers a full range of gynaecology services, including laparoscopic surgery, and obstetric care. He served a term as chairman of the Victorian Regional Committee of the RANZCOG and is passionately committed to education. He was on the organising committee of the RANZCOG conference in Melbourne and also lectures and mentors Monash University students.
Having managed thousands of pregnancies, ranging from completely normal to extremely complicated, Dr Kashyap continues to maintain a public commitment at Monash Medical Centre including running the ECV (External Cephalic Version clinic) for many years.
